Who we are
Michael Barr has spent more than two decades living and working in Medina County. He brings a strong blend of business, legal, and aviation experience to his work, backed by a business degree from Texas A&M University and a paralegal degree from the University of Houston. Michael has owned four businesses, flown as a pilot for over 30 years, and instructed new pilots for nearly as long. He also dedicated 12 years to serving as a high school and college baseball umpire. With more than 20 years of investment experience in the stock market, Michael approaches every challenge with discipline, preparation, and long‑term thinking.
Medina County is built on strong family foundations. Generations live, work, and worship here, passing down traditions rooted in faith, responsibility, and mutual support. Families prioritize raising children in a safe, respectful, and close‑knit environment where neighbors look out for one another.
With more than 30 years as a pilot and 28 as an instructor, aviation taught me discipline, preparation, and clear judgment under pressure. Every decision matters in the air, and that same focus guides my approach to public service — stay steady, stay fair, and keep people safe.
