Justice of the Peace

Precinct 2

Medina County

I’m running for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, to bring fairness, common sense, and steady judgment to our community. My goal is simple: treat every person with respect, apply the law consistently, and keep JP court accessible and accountable. Medina County deserves a judge who listens and serves with integrity every day.he

I’m running for Justice of the Peace because I believe our community deserves a local government that works efficiently, responsibly, and with genuine respect for the people it serves. My goal is simple: bring integrity, efficiency, and common-sense back to local government.

Too often, people walk into a courtroom and feel like the judge isn’t fully engaged, isn’t prepared, or isn’t taking the time to understand the situation in front of them. I will show up prepared, listen carefully, and treat every case with the seriousness it deserves.

As JP I would ensure that procedures, rights, and rulings are in plain language, so every person understands the process and feels heard. A courtroom should be open, respectful, and predictable. Consistency and adherence to the law build confidence in the justice system thereby strengthening the community’s trust.

My experiences in the businesses I’ve owned, my family, my flying as a corporate and airline pilot as well as instructing student pilots and being in front of crowds as an umpire have allowed me to be confident in my abilities to handle the responsibilities of being a JP. I am committed to serving with integrity, honesty, and efficiency.

With over 30 years as a pilot—including four years in corporate and airline aviation—and 28 years as a certified flight instructor, he brings the discipline, judgment, and calm decision‑making that aviation demands.

Michael also spent 12 years umpiring high school and 4 years college baseball, reinforcing his commitment to fairness and rule‑based decision‑making.

He has invested in the stock market for more than two decades and holds a business degree from Texas A&M University along with a paralegal degree from the University of Houston.

Medina County is built on a deep respect for the land we call home. Land ownership isn’t just an asset in our county—it’s a way of life.

Families here work hard, support their neighbors, and pass down the traditions that make our community strong.

Spending more than 30 years as a pilot changes the way you see responsibility, safety, and the people around you. Aviation teaches habits that stay with you long after you step out of the cockpit. Pilots are trained to stay calm, think ahead, and make decisions based on facts. You learn to scan your surroundings constantly, anticipate what others might do, and avoid unnecessary risks.
